Houston is known for its diverse and thriving food scene, with many new restaurants and special events taking place around the city. Here are some of the highlights for the week of February 27th.

Tatemó is celebrating its one year anniversary with a Tlayuda Pop-Up event on February 27th from 7-10 p.m. The counter-service event is walk-in only, and to-go orders will also be available.

Shake Shack is offering a special dining experience called The Truffle Table VIP, which will feature a fine dining setting, table service, a prix fixe tasting menu, and unlimited beverages, from February 27th to March 2nd.

On Texas Independence Day, March 2nd, Goode Co. Armadillo Palace is hosting a special Texas Independence Dinner. This seated, family-style meal will celebrate authentic Texas culture, community, and cuisine, with live music and live-fire cooking.

Kenny & Ziggy’s Cakeworks is featuring a new specialty cake each month. For the month of February, the three-layer Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing is on offer, while March will feature The OMG Cheesecake, a brownie-based cake with Snickers, chocolate mousse, and whipped cream layering around the deli’s famed house-made cheesecake.

These new restaurants and special events are just a few examples of the exciting things happening in Houston’s food scene. With its diverse culinary offerings and numerous dining options, Houston is a must-visit destination for foodies.
