Where to Stay in Atlanta for FIFA World Cup 2026

Atlanta offers some of the most affordable accommodations among all FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities. Hotel rates average around $200/night with only a ~2% game-day surge — compared to 30%+ in Miami and New York.

Best Neighborhoods

Downtown (Walking Distance to Stadium)

  • Omni Hotel at CNN Center — Connected to the stadium complex. 5-minute walk.
  • Marriott Marquis — Iconic atrium lobby. 10-minute walk.
  • Hilton Atlanta — Reliable, directly on Peachtree. 15-minute walk or 1 MARTA stop.
  • Budget: $180-350/night during tournament
  • Midtown (Culture + Walkability)

  • W Atlanta Midtown — Rooftop pool, walkable to Piedmont Park
  • Loews Atlanta — Connected to Colony Square dining
  • The Georgian Terrace — Historic boutique hotel across from the Fox Theatre
  • Budget: $200-400/night during tournament
  • Buckhead (Luxury)

  • The St. Regis Atlanta — Top-tier luxury, 20 minutes from stadium
  • Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead — Five-star, excellent spa
  • Budget: $350-600/night during tournament
  • Transit Tips

All three neighborhoods have MARTA rail stations with direct service to the stadium area. You do not need a car in Atlanta for the World Cup.

    Booking Strategy

Book by January 2026. Atlanta hotel inventory is large (70,000+ rooms in metro), so prices won't spike as dramatically as Miami or NYC — but the best properties at face value will sell out.
