Inside Hard Rock Stadium: Your FIFA 2026 Quarterfinal Guide

Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens hosts a FIFA World Cup 2026 Quarterfinal on July 11. The 65,000-seat open-air venue features an iconic canopy roof that provides shade but no air conditioning — expect South Florida summer heat.

Getting There

Hard Rock Stadium is in Miami Gardens, about 30 minutes north of South Beach and 20 minutes from downtown Miami (without traffic — with traffic, allow 60-90 minutes).

  • Rideshare: Designated drop-off on NW 27th Avenue. Surge pricing will be extreme — budget $60-100 from South Beach.
  • Shuttle: FIFA and local transit will likely run shuttles from downtown staging areas. Details TBD.
  • Driving: Parking is $50-80. Lots open 4 hours before kickoff. Come early.
  • There is no rail service to the stadium.
  • What to Know

  • It's hot. July in Miami means 90°F+ with high humidity. Hydrate aggressively. Wear sunscreen. The canopy helps but it's still outdoor.
  • Clear bag policy applies (same as NFL).
  • Cashless stadium — cards and mobile pay only.
  • Gates open 2 hours before kickoff.
  • Before the Match

Miami Gardens itself has limited pre-match options near the stadium. Most fans will spend the day in Miami and travel to the match:

  • Wynwood — Arts district, breweries, great food
  • South Beach — Beach + Ocean Drive + day parties
  • Brickell — Downtown restaurants and rooftop bars
  • Coconut Grove — Chill waterfront dining
  • Pro Tips

    1. Leave for the stadium 3 hours before kickoff if coming from South Beach. 2. Bring a portable fan and a sealed water bottle (empty, to fill inside). 3. The upper bowl has better shade coverage than lower bowl. 4. Post-match traffic is brutal — plan to stay 30-60 minutes after the final whistle.
