Houston's Fashion Scene Thrives with New Store Openings

Houston’s fashion scene is heating up with several high-end brands opening new stores in the city. Gucci, the Italian luxury brand, has opened a 6,500-square-foot store in Market Street-The Woodlands. This is the brand’s ninth boutique in Texas, selling both men’s and women’s shoes, handbags, luggage, small leather goods, jewelry, watches, and eyewear. The store’s eco-friendly technologies, such as LED lighting and a building management system, promote energy efficiencies. The decor features custom, geometric painted wood floors, vintage-inspired display units, and vintage oriental rugs. Gucci was founded in Florence, Italy, in 1921, and the brand’s commitment to sustainable fashion is a growing trend in the industry.

Another brand that has recently opened a store in Houston is Rhone. Known for their upscale men’s apparel for active lifestyles, the brand has opened their first standalone store in Market Street-The Woodlands. Rhone has nine stores and sells merchandise at Equinox, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, and other retailers.

Chick N Max is a fast-casual franchise based in Wichita, Kansas, that specializes in almond wood-smoked chicken and wings, sandwiches, and fried chicken tenders. The franchise is preparing to open its first Houston area location in the Market at Willis Shopping Center and has signed a lease for a second location in Fulshear. Negotiations are underway for a location in The Woodlands. Chick N Max offers ten flavors of sandwiches, including chicken and waffles, the smoked chicken BLT, and the sriracha hot honey. Sides include onion rings, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and smoked white beans.

The opening of these high-end stores and franchises adds to Houston’s thriving fashion scene, which is known for its diversity and inclusion. The city is home to several luxury brands, including Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton, which have helped put Houston on the fashion map. In addition, Houston’s fashion industry has embraced sustainable fashion, with many local designers creating environmentally friendly clothing lines.

Houston’s fashion scene is also known for its unique style, which combines Southern hospitality with a modern edge. This fusion of styles has created a fashion culture that is unlike any other in the world. From the Houston Rodeo to the Houston Fashion Week, the city’s fashion industry has become a staple of the community.
